Nobotokean, small place for repose with a cup of Maccha.

There was NO ONE but me when I visited there,
even though it was middle of Obon break,
so I had a cup of Maccha and little treats,
and read "Autumn" by Ryunosuke Akutagawa in Engawa.
Obviously, Shisendo just a few meters away, is my all-time-favorite,
this one will be added to my standard Ichijoji stroll from next time,
in addition to Keibunsha and Tsubame afterwards.

second-hand book market at the grove of the village shrine in Shimogamo.

the old man was washing something at the river!
myriads of second-hand stores all around Kyoto were involved.

this is the book I wanted so so so badly, however gave up since it was way too expensive..

chilling family

afterwards, read a book with a cup of coffee at "Soleil".

I found this thick book, "Cultural History of Landscape",
in one of those second hand book stores there,
and I of course wanted it real bad.
however it costed about 4000 yen, only sold with 2 volume together,
I was so hesitated whether I should buy it or not,
Moreover, suddenly rain started pouring down,
I was just doing nothing but at a loss,
and finally I plucked up the courage
to talk to the teenage boy, temporarily working,
to ask whether it could make them a bit cheaper.
then, he spoke to me under his breath,
that he would discount them when the old man of store-keeper was gone.
however the man was lingering there because of the rain,
and very when I almost gave up and tried to leave the place,
the boy chased me stealing the man's eyes, and say,
"How much do you like",   with curtly undertone voice,
with that accent unique to the people in Kyoto.
and even he made them almost only half a price!
and said, "it is whimsical for you to want such a book since you are so young",
even though he is obviously much younger than me and
working in such a old-fashioned second-hand book store.
anyway, this small incident certainly made my day in Kyoto.

KYODAI MADNESS

I coincidently came up to step into the old clubroom,
located next to Seibu-Kodo,
and is no more used and got to be like ruin.
it was so quiet, beside the sound of trumpet practicing near.
For some reason, however,
i felt like i heard so many whisperings and murmurs,
from the old graffitis and notices here and there,
of old spirits of students, frequented back time.

! sparks in summer !

The park was filled with air, slightly wet with the rain,
As we set off fireworks, it gradually got all smoky with its powder,
as if it were almost casted a spell!
