Old villa in Abiko [in color]

Abiko is a small town located in Chiba, which used to be a renowned area of holiday homes or villas 

for writers and artists in Meiji / Taisho era, such as Naoya Shiga or Soetsu Yanagi.

Most of those villas has been already torn down however, there are a few of those still existed.
